About DeepEndStudios

DeepEndStudios (pronounced Deep-End-Studios) and also referred to as DES was developed in 1996 during my early basic programming kick in Middle and High School. The name was inspired by an article referring to the origins of ID Software's logo and brand name. The original logo, developed to identify calculator software developed by myself, was fittingly termed the "Wave Logo" and consisted of a wave of water washing over the letters DES. As my interest in calculator programming waned, my interest in general technology and computers picked up. This sparked the initial DeepEndStudios site to be set up at www.geocities.com under the supervision of my father, a fellow tech-geek and mentor. The first site complicated by my poor html knowledge and wonky graphical glitches caused by oversized .gif images and remained online for the better part of 2 years, recieving fewer than 200hits. Most of these were from myself, family, and friends who took one look and decided better of the endeavor.

Upon graduating, my interest in technology inspired me too take a closer look at computers and information technology as a developing career. In 2002 the 4 year degree program toward a B.S. in Information Technology commenced. This program highlighted web-programming, .net programming, and network technology. After 4 years of study and an independant research project, May 2006 marked the graduation year for me from Central Michigan University. Throughout the experience, DeepEndStudios could be found in many evolving forms across 2 or 3 url's and a handful of page formats and graphical inspirations. Most prosperous during 2003-04, the site featured hacks and projects that I developed during my endless browsing online.

The most recent format builds on an aesthetically pleasing template found at Open Source Web Design online and http://www.oswd.org/. The format relies on simplicity of navigation and clarity of information to make the browsing experience a more straightforward and desireable one. The projects which are listed under respective button headings represent my new and ongoing hobbies including Electronic Music mixing on my Dual Numark TTX-1 Turntables and Pioneer Djm-300 mixer. The hobby is one that focuses on retro-electronic music and the ever-cliched epic-trance roots. Radio Control combines my knowledge of electronics and analog circuitry to produce a tangible project racing vehicle and also showcases some of my current kit, including the Team Losi Super Truck, Team Losi XXX-T Stadium Truck, and Associated RC18T mini. All of these hobbies are melded together to produce one interactive, engaging experience while you browse "Deep End Studios . Com."
